Yes, it probably has. But thank you, I may take you up on that...? (Here, she trails off expectantly, tone forming a question. She doesn't immediately recognise his voice.)
Connor, Madame, Connor Aurum. I have family among the Orlesian elite I may be able to call on to spread word of the play's lies, [ sincere though the offer is, he does sound a little unsure on that front—certainly more so than his next offer, ] and I'd be happy to lend my pen wherever it would be of most use to you. I am caught up on my Research paperwork, presently.
Connor, (she repeats, and there's a pause during which she's clearly writing it down somewhere for later.) Thank you and please, call me Gela.
Because this has taken place in the world of art I think that we need to keep our response to the world of art — review writing, specifically, or perhaps some kind of counter story told through dance...?
(Interpretive criticism? Another scribble. A heavy sigh.) Honestly I'm not all that well-versed in performance art. Do you know much about it all, how it works, how the plays circulate? (What with family among the Orlesian elite...)
I don't, unfortunately, I haven't had much time for theatre between the Circle and the war. My mother might know about it, though, or at least know someone who does. I could reach out to her, if you think it'd help.
Yes, why not? If you wouldn't mind. (She was about to say something about how she'll take any help she can get, that she feels out of her depth — and curbs it. Perhaps best not to say this to a newish person.)
